SERVICE LEARNING
Concordia Lutheran School has made Service Learning a priority across our student body. Because we are called by God to serve others, to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community, we instill in our students the spirit of giving as an essential part of living fully as Christian people. When students are encouraged to serve, in whatever capacity they can, the service mindset becomes part of who they are. Â
Each grade level has its own service area on which to focus. Through intentional connection with the community through their area of service and civic engagement, our students begin to understand the full spectrum of human experience. From community helpers to children helping children to veterans to the elderly, our Concordia students learn how they can bless others through thoughtful service.Â
Our middle school students will complete two substantial service projects, one during seventh grade and one during eighth grade. The students will present the projects to a committee of teachers and staff.Â
